This is obviously very late, but needed to get it posted!
Two months have come and gone and we really don’t know how we ever lived without you sweet Brooks!
You are calm, laid back, and go with the flow! We didn’t think we could luck out with TWO easy going babies but we sure did. You are just the sweetest thing. As long as you’re fed and rested, you are one happy camper!
You had your 2 month well check with Dr. Willman and you were a trooper. Dr. Willman said you were perfect and she loved to hear how great of an eater and sleeper you are! You got 4 shots and of course it was worse for mommy than it was for you. You cried pretty hard afterward, but once mommy fed you and snuggled you, you were fine. You actually went to a meeting with mommy at her work right after your appointment and you were wide awake and cooing the entire hour. Everyone kept commenting on how good you were 🙂
Weight:11 lbs 13.5 oz (54%)
Height: 23 inches (54%)
You slept through the night a few random times, but at 4 weeks and 4 days you made a habit of it (just like your big brother…crazy!) You are on a 3 hour schedule during the day. You take around 4 ounces when you drink a bottle and you play for around an hour before you go back down for a nap.
You get a bath around 9:30 pm, get swaddled, nurse, and you are down for the night by 10:30 and sleep until 7 or 7:30 am.
You are in size 0-3 month clothes and size 1 diapers.
You gave us your first real smile around 5 weeks old and now you love to flash those dimples any chance you get. I can’t believe you have dimples, they are just the cutest.
You absolutely love your bath. If you are fussy, as soon as we lay you down in the bathroom you relax. I think you just love the warm room and hearing the water run. You don’t even cry when you have to get out!
We’ve even had a couple nights you were so sleepy you couldn’t even wake up for your bath!
You started daycare at Michele’s on September 24th and you did so great! She is amazed at how good of a baby you are. You transitioned seamlessly and I am so grateful! It sure makes me feel so much better having to leave you, knowing that you are happy and so loved! Hayden loves having you there too. He doesn’t so much, like when the girls want to play with you 🙂 He says, “No MY brother!” It’s safe to say he loves you! He is always concerned when you are crying and he asks about you the first thing when he wakes up in the morning. He is also very excited to start sharing his tractors with you.
Beings this is my second time around with this mama thing, I know just how quickly you are going to grow. I am trying my best to soak up every minute of you. You have been the most amazing puzzle piece to our family that we didn’t even know was missing! I am humbled and grateful every day that the Lord chose me to be your mama Brooks! We love you so very much!
