This week we started a new adventure.
Hayden had his last day of daycare with Deb last Friday.
We are so thankful for the love and care that Deb gave Hayden during the year that he was there.
Hayden was the only baby until about a month ago so needless to say he received a LOT of attention. The bigger kids LOVED him and he had so much fun watching them all. I’m so thankful that he was able to get such great care and loving especially in those early days when he was so little.
The desire to change daycares really stemmed from the fact that Hayden traveled with me 40 minutes in the car to and from work/daycare. We knew that eventually we would want to get Hayden into a daycare that was in our town so he wouldn’t have to be in the car with me (especially during winter) and so he could meet other kids that he’ll be going to school with. It would also give me a chance to meet other moms from our town.
Daycare in a small town like ours is hard to come by. A sweet gal named Michelle was a stay at home mom to her three boys, but they’re grown now and she decided to take a few families for a little daycare in her home. She previously helped another gal in town with a daycare and missed the little ones.
We are so excited for this new adventure with Michelle. She is such a sweet Godly woman and I just know that Hayden is getting loved on as much as possible. Plus she is a mom to THREE boys, so she definitely knows the ins and outs of little boys.
There will be 3 kids at Michelle’s with Hayden being the oldest and the other two being girls. What a lucky boy! 🙂 A new baby boy (who will be Hayden’s cousin) will be joining them in December.
All of the kids are part time so Michelle will be able to take them on little field trips and do so many fun things that Hayden wasn’t able to do at Deb’s because there were so many other kids/babies.
Michelle loves being outside which is perfect for Hayden. Yesterday they went on a couple walks, played at the park, and even went to the grocery store.
My day at home now switched to Mondays so I am so excited to have three full days in a row at home with Hayden before starting the work week. As much as I desire to be the one who is doing those fun things with Hayden every day, I am so thankful that we have someone like Michelle if it can’t be me.
