This is very late as you are now 10 weeks old, but still wanted to get it on the blog!
Hayden you are 2 months old! You grow and change so much every day I can hardly believe it!
At 5 weeks old we saw your first real smile and it was the sweetest thing!
You had your 2 month appointment with Dr. Willman and got your dreaded shots.
You were smiling and mommy and daddy and kicking up a storm when all of a sudden the nurses stuck you and you just looked right at us and started screaming. They caught you totally off guard, you poor thing!
Daddy says that mommy cried more than you did though and after mommy scooped you up and fed you, you were perfectly fine.
Height: 23 1/2 inches (76th percentile)
Weight: 11 lbs. 4 1/2 oz. (38th percentile)
Head: 39 (27th percentile)
So you’re long and lean which is kind of funny considering your parents! 🙂
Dr. W said you are doing great! She is especially impressed with how happy you are and how great of a sleeper you are!
At 6 weeks old you moved to size 1 diapers.
You are in size 0-3 month clothes.
You started daycare at Deb’s on July 25th and gave her a run for her money! You refused to drink your bottle or take any naps that day. Thankfully every day has gotten better and now you are doing great.
It was really hard on mommy but you’ve already made lots of friends and it is so sweet to hear the little kids say, “Bye baby Hayden!” when we’re leaving. You always give me the biggest smiles when I come to pick you up!
You went wedding dress shopping for Aunt Kara and she got to meet you for the first time!
You celebrated your first real holiday, 4th of July, but it was so hot outside you didn’t last long!
You also discovered your hands and you love putting them by your face and sucking on your fists.
You learned to pull on your blankie and now you always want it by your face. This kind of scares mom because sometimes I think you can’t breathe. Thank goodness your blankies are thin!
You love being carried around up on mom and dad’s shoulder and being able to look around.
You absolutely love being on your back and talking and kicking. You are perfectly content just laying there for a long time! You make the cutest noises. It is so funny to see you really get your arms and legs going because you let out the biggest shriek when you get really excited.
Around 9 weeks you’ve started to hate tummy time. The instant we lay you on your tummy you start to cry.
You love when mommy and daddy talk to you and when daddy makes funny noises and claps.
You LOVE bath time and no matter how hungry/fussy you are getting, the second we bring you into the bathroom you calm right down.
You really are such a happy boy and have remained a great sleeper!
You go down around 8:30-9 and mom has to wake you up at 6 am to get you fed and ready to go to daycare!
You really are a mama’s boy (for now as dad says). Anytime you are fussy or sad I just scoop you up, you lay your little head on my shoulder and you calm right down. It just melts my heart.
I feel so blessed to be your mom. You have filled a whole in my heart that I never knew existed.
Every day with you is such a joy.
You are such a sweet little thing and we love you so much!
