Our anatomy scan was such an awesome experience. As soon as the Ultrasound Tech put the little wand on my belly and we saw Baby B’s profile on the screen, I was in awe. Robbie I just looked at each other like, “Wow! There really is a baby in there!” So cool.
The u/s tech was maneuvering around my belly for close to an hour and Robbie and I just saw there smiling from ear to ear, looking at all the parts of our little baby. The tech was very thorough and explained everything he was looking at. That was very helpful because Robbie and I were both clueless about what the heck he was looking at most of the time.
There was one moment when I definitely KNEW what we were looking at. That was Baby B’s little private part haha! It was very obvious.
Before the u/s tech could even say anything, I shouted out. “That’s a boy isn’t it?!” He just smiled and said, “Yep. That’s definitely a boy.”
The tech said he had seen “it” a few times throughout the ultrasound already, but zoomed right in between the legs for us to see for sure 🙂 There was no denying it!
I looked right over at Robbie. That is a face I will never forget. Pure elation. He was on Cloud 9.
We are having a son. Wow. What a blessing.
Look at those cute little feet. You can see the toes on the right and the heals on the left.
I mentioned in my 19 weeks post that the baby kept giving us the “thumbs up.” I’m not kidding you this little guy was throwing us the thumps up numerous times.
After the 3rd or 4th time seeing it, the u/s tech said he had to just get a picture of that, it was too funny!
We loved it. It was like he was saying, “Hey mom and dad, everything’s good in here!”
As soon as the tech turned the monitor to the 4D picture I lost it. The tears just started coming. I couldn’t believe I was seeing my sweet son’s face. Such an amazing experience!
Robbie just squeezed my hand and we both continued to stare in awe at the precious little miracle that we created. Our son.
Look at that cute little man 🙂 I know some people are totally creeped out by these 3d pictures but I think they’re pretty cool. I have no doubt our little man is going to be just as handsome as his daddy! (I have to get some baby pictures of Robbie scanned and put up on the blog…he was seriously the cutest little kid haha!)
After the tech was done with everything our Doctor came in and went over it all with us. We were so happy to hear that everything looks perfect and little B is happy and healthy! Praise the Lord!
After the appointment we decided to celebrate the news of our little guy with breakfast at Perkins before heading back to work.
One proud daddy and his first picture with his mini-me! 🙂
(he did wear normal clothes to the appointment but changed after so he could head to work haha!)
Mom with little B! So happy!
