Week 10: We finally had our first appointment! The Dr. said everything looked great and the heartbeat was nice and strong! It was such a relief to hear Baby B’s heartbeat!
Hearing the heartbeat finally made it all feel real. What a cool thing! I just kept saying to Robbie, “I can’t believe that is really happening inside of my body right now!” haha!
Our appointment ran really long because we had to wait for our Dr. to go check on one of her patients who was in labor and then right as she was finishing up with us the nurse told her that she had to head over to the hospital ASAP. She kept apologizing and Robbie said, “It’s okay, that will be us in 7 months!” So crazy to think about that!
Robbie was so great about everything. He wanted to know everything that was going on and had lots of questions for the Dr. and nurse. He’s going to be such a great dad!
I’m still feeling good for the most part and very thankful for that!
Friday I felt kind of yucky all day and was just sooo exhausted. I could hardly make it in the front door, I just had to lay on the couch. Thankfully Robbie instructed me to rest and he made supper for us. I’m so thankful for him!
Official due date:
May 28, 2012
Our very own Memorial Day baby!
Week 11: This week I have not felt the greatest. I don’t feel like I could get sick, I just feel icky.
I still feel like I am constantly eating. I quickly realized I can’t eat a lot at one time anymore, but I eat small amounts more often.
Cereal is still my biggest craving. Frosted Mini Wheats, to be exact. Sooo good!
Sleep is still good besides getting up to go to the bathroom. I also wake up around 5:30 am and can’t fall back asleep.
After Robbie’s dad let it slip, the rest of Robbie’s family now knows about Baby B.
I went for a 3 mile run this weekend and after I came home I felt so sick the entire day. It was super windy out and I think it was just too much, because normal workouts don’t bother me. I was just miserable though, I told Robbie I don’t know how people can deal with that feeling all day every day for months! I am so thankful for feeling so great during this pregnancy!
Week 12: Still haven’t been feeling as good as I used to. When I eat, I’m fine, but it’s hard to find things to eat. Nothing sounds good. Especially sweets. We had amazing looking cupcakes this weekend and I haven’t even had one. You know something is not right there!
I’ve been sucking on a lot of lemon drops, which seems to help.
I have a few pairs of pants that are a little too tight. It is very frustrating watching yourself “outgrow” your clothes. I have a feeling this is going to be a struggle, but definitely worth it!
According to my weekly updates, if I poke my belly the baby will squirm and move around. I can’t wait to start feeling that!
I am really looking forward to next week (Thanksgiving) and telling the rest of our family and to finally share the news with our friends! We are so excited!
