*How far along?: 17 weeks
*How big is baby?: Baby B is the size of an onion…5 inches top to bottom and weights 5 ounces!
*Sleep?: This week I have slept great!
*Best moment this week?: The start of the Christmas festivities with our families!
*Food cravings?: Nothing really food related but I always want COLD drinks. Like smoothies. It’s freezing outside but I want smoothies. What the heck? haha!
A delicious mango smoothie I had the other day. So good.
*What I miss: Turkey sandwiches. There is a little deli shop by campus that has the best turkey sandwiches ever and I seriously could drool just thinking about them. I think that is what I will request while we’re in the hospital after the baby is born. Yum!
*What I’m looking forward to: Knowing whether this precious little baby is a boy or girl! January 4th come quick!
Before I was pregnant I would drink so much water. I have a Camelbak water bottle (you can kind of see it in the picture above) that holds a little over 24 ounces of water. I would drink about 4 of those during work every day and still drink water at night when I got home. That’s a LOT of water. But, it’s really the only thing I ever drank so it made sense. Now that I’m pregnant and I’m supposed to be drinking lots of water, I can hardly finish off 2 of those in a workday. I don’t get it. It’s like I’m not thirsty and I always feel so full when I drink water. So strange!
I can feel little B moving around all the time and it’s so crazy. Definitely a great reminder that everything is okay in there 🙂
I’m really excited for Christmas this weekend. It will be bittersweet. Our last Christmas just the two of us. Next year will be such a different (but great) experience, having a 7 month old around for the holidays!
I have noticed I’m a lot less flexible and am more stiff than normal. I struggle to cross my legs comfortably. My muscles just seem tighter.
Uncle Chase is VERY excited about this little one. He is always asking questions and wanting to know about how all of this baby stuff works haha! After last week, he has nicknamed the baby “Avocado.”
Uncle Rocky also told me that “this baby better be a boy.” I told him I’d see what I could do 🙂
This week I just feel fat. I know the belly is growing (obviously) but I am ready for it to be an actual belly and not just this squishy beer gut!
My photographer was a little impatient this week, so this is the best we got. Also please excuse the dirty mirror…I had a little incident with the hairspray!!!!
