I love blogging. It has been such a fun experience and I have gotten to know some amazing ladies over the past year.
My blog has been such a fun outlet and a wonderful way to relate to other women going through the same season of life as me. Being able to be a part of others triumphs and struggles has been so amazing.
That is not to say that blogging is all rainbows and sunshine.
The flip side of being a blogger is being *forced* to compare yourself and your life to others. I say forced and I know that no one is forcing us to, but it is very hard not to.
Being a blogger and reading other people’s blogs gives you a glimpse into the lives of other people. This can be so encouraging and so fun, but yet it can be very difficult.
I find myself comparing my marriage, my home, my life, my clothes, myself with other bloggers all the time.
It is so easy to look at someone else’s life and think that they have it made. They have the perfect house, the perfect husband, and the best clothes, etc.
The reality is, as bloggers, we are only seeing a glimpse of what their life is like. We are only able to see the parts of their lives that they choose to share with us and are most likely not getting an accurate representation of their lives.
It is important as bloggers that we remind ourselves of this and not let ourselves get caught up in comparing our lives to the lives of others when in reality we may have no idea what their real life is about….
After all…the grass is always greener right??
Have you found yourself comparing your life to other bloggers??
