So here is the story of the rest of the trip…
We hung out with this guy a lot. His name is Wayne. He’s a bartender and he is hilarious! We became fast friends with Wayne.
We enjoyed warm weather on the patio.
And had some more drinks…
And shared a few kisses.
We took a speedboat tour around the island. The tour was AWESOME. It took us all around the coast showing us different resorts, fishing villages, and little coves.
I snapped a few pictures as we were leaving our resort.
That water is so beautiful! The pictures do NOT do it justice. It’s so pretty!
This is the home of Mr. Glass he is one of the richest men in St. Lucia. His home was beautiful and right on the water!
Loved seeing all of these sailboats.
I was in heaven. Pure bliss…
This is where the original Dr. Doolittle movie was shot.
We also went snorkeling around this little cove and it was awesome! We didn’t get any pictures beings we were both in the water but we have some great memories. Seeing the beautiful fish and coral reefs was so cool!
The rain was coming!
These are the Pitons. St. Lucia’s famous mountains.
This is Jade Mountain. This was the resort where “The Bachelor” was filmed!!!
The cheapest room here is $1,200 per night and it is not all-inclusive.
The resort is built into the mountain and the rooms only have 3 walls. Where the 4th wall should be is an infinity pool flowing over the side of the mountain. How awesome would that be!
Here we are heading to the waterfall!
Such a great hubby to carry my bag 🙂
The waterfall was awesome…the water that came off of it was so warm and people just sat in the pools underneath it.
A volcano/sulfur springs
We did a mud bath here…again no pictures. But basically the sulfur spring water mixes with the dirt and makes this mud that is very good for your skin. So we rubbed this mixture all over our bodies and then rinsed off in the sulfer spring and apparently we were supposed to look 10 years younger 🙂
It did make our skin sooo silky and smooth. I was so convinced, we even bought a bar of the “mud” to bring back home for facials 🙂
Close up of the volcano.
The view from our patio. We loved having breakfast out here!
All dressed up for our fancy meal 🙂
Here we are with a great couple we met from Canada, Cindy and Bill. They have been married for 25 years and were so much fun! We spent a lot of time with them! They take a trip like this every year at this time. We think that’s a pretty great idea 🙂
We had seen people riding these aqua bikes the whole time we were there and finally on the last day we figured we had to give it a try…it was too fun! We laughed the entire time!
The last night they had a “Street Party” out in the car park. They had all kinds of booths set up with different foods and drinks. They also had a live band performing. Unfortunately it was raining pretty hard that night so we grabbed some food quick and went back to eat it in the lobby. That’s also why the picture turned out so poorly.
We did our best to enjoy our last night at the resort because the next day we had to leave….
And we were NOT happy about it. Haha!
I never could master the pouty face…oh well.
Needles to say we had an amazing time and would go back in a heartbeat! We talked a lot about traveling and have some good ideas of places to go in the future. We’re thinking Antigua, Barbados, or Aruba…has anyone been to any of these???
If anyone is thinking about going to St. Lucia do NOT hesitate….and we would highly recommend the Sandals Grande!
