I’ve been tagged by my sweet blog friend Amber at The Survival Guide for the Young, Fabulous, and Newlywed to answer these questions:
1) What is your favorite thing about being in a relationship with your boyfriend/fiancé/spouse?
My favorite thing about being in a relationship (soon to be marriage :)) with Robbie is the fact that I know I have a constant support system 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I know that I always have someone to share my whole life with, the ups and downs, good and bad, we’re a team and we’re doing this thing called life together. I truly feel like every person has another “half” and he is mine. Without him, I don’t feel complete.
2) If you could go anywhere in the world for an entire week with your girlfriends, where would you go and why?
I would say somewhere tropical, warm with a beach and fruity drinks. It would be so fun to just go relax, chat, laugh, and catch up! It really wouldn’t matter as long as we’re together! We have all gotten so busy and taken such different paths in our lives that we don’t all get together anymore!
3) What persona were you in high school: Miss Popular, The Sporty Girl, The Book Worm, Etc.
I think I was truly a mix of them all. I was a gymnast so I was in the sporty group, and as bad as it sounds I was in the “popular” group, but I also was a good student. I was Student Council President and involved in numerous activities. My brother used to call me Wren Stevens from the Disney Channel show “Even Stevens” haha! When you go to high school and only graduate with 47 other kids, everyone pretty much falls into every category 🙂
4) Have you ever been stereotyped in any way? What did you have to do to overcome that stereotype – or are you still struggling with it?
When I was in High School I think, unfortunately, some people stereotyped me as stuck up or “too good.” Like I said, I was in the “popular group” and actually one girl called a few of my friends and I “The White Tornadoes,” not quite sure what that even means, but whatever. It never did bother me, it more so just made me laugh. She later had 2 of those girls as bridesmaids in her wedding, so I guess she got over it.
5) What’s your favorite song of all time?
Good question! I am going to say I have two very random….
Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing
6) What’s your favorite holiday and why?
CHRISTMAS! I am a Christmas freak! I LOVE LOVe LOve Love it! I would start decorating for Christmas right now if people wouldn’t think I was cukoo! I just love everything about it! I love the feeling, the smells, the shopping, the family time, friend time, parties, wrapping gifts, decorating, the lights, the wreaths, the jolly spirit of people passing by, listening to Christmas music and most of all celebrating the birth of our Savior!
7) If you could change one thing about yourself (body, personality, abilities, etc) what would it be and why?
I wish I wasn’t such a jealous person. I am not jealous in a sense in my relationship with Robbie at all and I never have been. I am a jealous person in the sense of wanting. My continuous prayer is for God to teach me contentment. I am guilty of always wanting something bigger and better and always looking toward to my next season of life. When Robbie and I were dating, I was always thinking about when we were going to get engaged, the entire time we were engaged I was focused on us getting a house and jobs and our marriage, and now that we are getting married I am beginning to think about our future family, etc. I am trying hard to focus on the blessings I have now and enjoying the season of life I am in right now and trust that the Lords timing is perfect for everything!
8) What is something that makes you feel incredibly feminine?
I think I feel most feminine when I’m getting ready, putting my make-up on or doing my hair and Robbie just looks at me with “that look” and tells me I am beautiful.
