So it’s going to be at LEAST another three weeks before we can get into the house.
The loan we were trying to get was called a Rural Development Loan. It was a great Government funded loan for people wanting to buy farms/acreages. Well the acreage we are trying to buy has some different barns/sheds/etc. on it that are considered “income producing” so we were turned down.
Now we have to start ALL OVER and do the VA Home Loan, which we wanted to do from the beginning, but our banker told us that the RD Loan would be better for us. Guess he was wrong.
He said it is not a matter of us not having the money (we do), Robbie’s credit is great, and everything else looks wonderful he said. It was just the fact that buildings on the acreage worked against us with the RD Loan.
Soo…..we wait. We go through the entire process again and hopefully, HOPEFULLY in three weeks we will be at the point where it can finally be done and we can finally move in to OUR HOUSE.
To say this is frustrating is an understatement. As I said before, Robbie’s parents are great, but I am just dying for my own space! I wouldn’t even want to live with my own parents for this long at this point in my life! Robbie doesn’t mind though, it’s his normal surroundings, he LOVES his mom’s cooking, and he has all of his stuff! He is in Heaven. Whereas, I have been living out of a suitcase for a month and have no routine. I feel so outta wack!
Anyway, complaining about it isn’t going to help, but I just want to go back to normal.
When we do finally get to move in (3 weeks), things at work are going to start geting busy, and the wedding is going to be right around the corner. We were hoping to sort of be settled before then, but it looks like it’s all going to happen at the same time (go figure!)
I’ve also been dying to paint the house, and what a perfect time to do it while we’re waiting to get in…but what if we don’t get this loan either, or what if the seller backs out, etc. We don’t want to have stuck money into it and then not end up getting it, so what do we do?
Patience, Mateya, patience.
