Thank you all so much for the great questions! I decided to break the questions up so I didn’t bore you to death. This group of questions all relate to my relationship with Robbie in some way or another. Enjoy!
When did you know Robbie was “the one”?
I would say I knew Robbie was the one pretty much all along. I know it sounds silly, but ever since we met we just had this connection. I always wanted to be talking to him, spending time with him, whatever. Even when we weren’t dating we were always calling each other or emailing each other. We just never cut each other out of our lives. In some way or another we always kept in touch and I knew that I could never be truly happy unless he was in my life.
I always joked about how I could do something as silly as buy a new toothbrush and call Robbie and tell him about it and he would be so excited and ask me 50 questions about it because he was genuinely interested and he genuinely cared. I don’t know anyone else I can say that about.
Tell us more about your wedding!!
We are getting married on October 9th in Robbie’s hometown (where we will be living) in Robbie’s church. We will have between 350-400 guests and are so excited to share the biggest day of our lives with the people we love. We are having 6 bridesmaids, 6 groomsmen, 2 flower girls, and one ring bearer (I will do a wedding party post sometime soon!) Our colors are a deep eggplant/plum purple and gold, with accents of a deep red.
I hope this gives you a better idea…I would love some ideas for wedding related posts so if you want to know anything else just leave me a comment!
Do you pass gas in front of Robbie? (Thanks Amber ha!)
Yes. There used to be a time when I wouldn’t even have dreamed of it and now I don’t even think twice about it. Call me un-ladylike, but I guess I just think it is a part of life!
When was your first kiss with Robbie? Would you consider it “perfect?”
Robbie and I first kissed at a “party.” We had both been drinking so we had a little more courage than usual, but it had been a long time coming! I don’t know if I would consider it perfect, but it is what it is and it led to a lot more kisses 🙂
We laugh now because we used to only kiss when we were saying goodbye to each other. Beings we lived in different towns we would always walk outside to my car or his pickup, whoever had driven to see the other, and we would have that awkward moment where we knew we wanted to kiss so badly but neither one of us wanted to be the one to do it. So we would just talk until one of us would just say, “Well I better get going.” Then he, most likely, would go in for the kill haha! I will never forget those butterflies! Now I can’t get enough kisses from him!
What are you most excited for on your wedding day?
I am most excited about seeing Robbie for the first time when I am in my dress all ready to go. After much discussion, we have decided to see each other before the ceremony.
I literally dream about the moment that I am walking towards him, tapping him on the shoulder, and waiting for him to turn around. I can NOT wait to see his face and to just kiss him and hug him and have that precious time together before all of the busyness starts!
When do you plan on having kids?
I want nothing more than to be a mother some day. I am so excited I can hardly stand it! That being said, Robbie and I both realize the importance of building a strong foundation before we bring a child into the world. We are both very excited to have kids, but we are even more excited to enjoy our time together as husband and wife first. We have never lived in the same zip code, let alone under the same roof, so we are thrilled to finally just be together!
Obviously God has a plan in store for us and He knows when He wants us to have children, but we would like to be married about two years before we bring any little ones into the world. Who knows how that will change once we are actually married!
