And let me tell you….it was GOOOD!!!
This “green” smoothie is delicious AND nutritious! Depending on how you make it, it is around 200 calories and packed with all the good healthy nutritious stuff you need! What a great way to get some hearty servings of your fruits and veggies for the day!
Here is what you need:
2-3 cups of spinach leaves
3/4 cup of milk
This is how I made mine this morning and it was so delicious! I think tomorrow I will add some whey protein to it too. I have also seen where people use flax seed. I am so excited to try this with different types of fruit too! I have two mangoes sitting on my counter just waiting for me to use them 🙂
For the milk you can use whatever milk you normally drink or if you are super healthy (good for you) use Soy or Almond Milk. I don’t drink milk, so I will use either soy or almond milk, because they are healthier and the taste won’t matter!
I’m sure you are thinking this sounds so gross, but I kid you not, it is delicious. It tastes just like a regular fruit smoothie. Just try it…I dare ya!
